Flex Trips
Flex trips are scheduled up to 10 months in advance by Girl Scout troops or council-sponsored groups from Girl Scout councils across the country. The adults who are traveling with the troop or group typically go on the trip with the Girl Scouts. Groups larger than 8 are split into smaller crews to comply with BWCAW's leave-no-trace regulations
Flex trips are typically 6 days total (5 days in the Boundary Waters). The most up to date costs can be found here.
Flex trips with adults have 1-2 guides and trips with only Girl Scouts always have 2 guides and potentially a Guide-In-Training (GIT). While we understand families/friends want to be in the same crew, we have seen that splitting up parents and their child leads to a surprising amount of growth. We even encourage you to consider splitting up into an all-adult crew and an all-youth crew!
